Xdcam Premiere Pro Codec
Sony PMW-EX1 and PMW-EX1 are the highweight professional camcorders in the range of XDCAM EX camcorder which use a newly developed 'SxS PRO memory card based on rapidly-growing ExpressCard industry standard, as its recording media. Combining the moderate bit rate of MPEG-2 Long GOP compression, Sony is adopted with new XDCAM-EX intraframe codec and newly designed 1/2-inch type “Exmor” CMOS Sensors. The PMW-EX1/EX3 can shoot images and record videos in 1080P, 720P and 1080i HD resolutions. Owing to its different video codec, most users get the original MP4 files rewrapped with the help of the Sony's XDCAM EX Clip Brower which can edit metadata and transfer the media to a hard drive for later importation to edit in Adobe Premiere. However, the users still met the problem while importing the rewrapped Sony PMW-EX1/EX3 XDCAM files or original MP4 footage into Premiere Pro.“I would like to edit the MXF files in Adobe Premiere which is from Sony PMW-EX1. The original videos are XDCAM files. But neither rewrapped MXF files nor XDCAM files can be supported by Adobe Premiere. I am in deadline.
Thank you!”“How can I import the PMW-EX3 files in Adobe Premiere? I always got an error message.
It’s frustrating. Thank you!”Well, there is an easy yet efficient way to fix these issues.
You do not need to rewrap the original MP4 files at all. As we all know, then most compatible video format for Adobe Premiere editing is MPEG-2 (.MPG). So just to find a third party program to transcode the Sony PMW-EX1/EX3 files to MPEG-2 codec for Premiere Pro.The best program I can recommend for converting Sony PMW-EX1/EX3 footage to Premiere Pro is Brorsoft (available for Mac and Windows users), a powerful high-quality video converter, player and editor. If you're facing problems editing Camcorder/camera footage with Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, iMovie or FCE, chances are you already installed this great easy-to-use utility.
Davidyou misunderstood my post.download Sony XDCAM Transfer for Mac (PDZPK1)(direct link)with that installed you can export these files from FCP:select one in the browser window, then choose File menu Export Sony XDCAM.that allows you to export a Quicktime wrapped XDCAM HD file as an MXF wrapped XDCAM HD file, either back to an XDCAM disc or on to your hard disc. The latter is what you want. The video content (essence) will not be touched, it will only be rewrapped in an MXF containerthen you should be able to open such a file on your PC with the PC XDCAM Viewer softwarehope thats clearerAndy. Sony Xdcam Codec Download
We shot using the Sony XDCAM EX1 (SxS cards) and my cameraman imported the clips onto his Mac. They are no longer on the SxS cards. He copied the QuickTime (.mov) video clips onto my PC hard drive so that I could edit on Premiere Pro (latest version: 3.2).The problem is that I can't open the files. I searched on the net and discovered that it's not possible to open those specific QuickTime files on a PC as Final Cut Pro has the XDCAM HD codec which a PC does not.My cameraman said he can't export the files back onto the SxS cards, even using the XDCAM Transfer. The XDCAM Clip browser can't open.mov files. Is there a solution to my problem?
Premiere Pro Codec
I want to edit using Adobe Premiere Pro. My cameraman said he can't export the files back onto the SxS cards, even using the XDCAM Transfer. The XDCAM Clip browser can't open.mov files. Is there a solution to my problem? I want to edit using Adobe Premiere Pro.Same as the above. He will need to load the.MOV files into FCP, then do File - EXPORT- XDCAM HD.
He will need the latest version (6.0.3) of FCP to have full EX codec support. This will re-wrap the content into MXF which is also supported under the latest version of Premiere Pro (the PC version anyway). Both of these NLE updates occurred during NAB.-gb. I shot some footage for a friend using my Sony EX-3 - XDCAM EX 1080p30 (35Mb/s VBR).So I ingested all the footage with XDCam Transfer and now I have all these.MOV files in a folder.
