For the full story: I literally just signed up for this forum while I am trying to save a crashed hard drive (beyond my abilities to repair, and now that it's making clicking sounds I am sure it will need to be taken apart in by a professional). I have a spare 2T drive which I am trying to utilize the PC for my coding while I figure out what to do with the crashed drive.
I had upgraded to Windows 10 a while back (which was probably a mistake), but I need Windows 7 for this particular assignment. So I, too, am searching for a means to get a Windows 7 Professional license and stumbled here while trying to figure out if the $17 USD versions are legit. So I am back to trying to find a legit download of a new, clean install of Windows 7 Pro so I can use one of these OEM keys (assuming they are legit). It was worth a try; I appreciate you answering.
